Mooncup


The Mooncup is an eco-friendly and healthier alternative to a tampon. It is a reusable menstrual cup made from soft silicone rubber.

It is worn internally like a tampon but collects menstrual fluid rather than absorbing it. As the cup can hold up to 30ml of fluid which is about a third of  the average total produced each period, it can be kept in place a lot longer than a tampon and is also therefore more convenient than a tampon.

The Mooncup is very secure and once properly inserted it will not leak or give any odour as a light seal is formed between the Mooncup and your vaginal walls.

It is made of soft, anti-allergic, medical grade silicone rubber, making it safe to use for those sensitive to latex. It is easy to clean by simply washing under water during your period, and is sterilised by simply boiling in water for 5-10 minutes each month.

Correctly inserted, the Mooncup is so comfortable that you will forget it exists and you may even forget you are having your period at all! It may take a little practice at first as you need to find the angle and position that is right for you but it will be worth it!

Once you have perfected it you will be amazed at how simple the Mooncup is to use. Most will empty, rinse or wipe and reinsert their Mooncup every four to eight hours depending on their flow, but it can be left in for as long as 12 hours. The fluid remains inside the cup, and the process is not messy or uncomfortable.

The Mooncup can safely be used overnight and is great for all sports, swimming and travelling.

Sizes

Mooncup is available in 2 sizes

Size A - is for women aged 30+ or for any age who have given birth vaginally


Size B - is for teenagers and women aged below 30 and have either not given birth or given birth by Caesarean section, and not given birth vaginally

Both sizes have a 21mm stem which can be trimmed to your own comfort levels for your convenience.
